As I have said previously, the CLZ Movie Collection App is almost faultless. But that would be a bonus and not failure of the App. I've always liked viewing my Movies or CD collections this way in the old iTunes and would love to do that again within this app. Only one thing I will say, something I personally would add, and that would be 'Coverflow'. It's neigh on impossible to find anything to dislike about it, I certainly can't.

It's so complete with all information DVD covers and trailers, using the IMDB database, plus it's unbelievably solid and smooth in its operation entirety. Now it has been done within minutes and adding more titles is just a breeze. The CLZ Movie Collection App has taken away that massive burden of cataloguing my extensive DVD Collection, searching, documenting movie info, cutting and pasting covers, etc. I've tried numerous others with dissatisfaction, and tried various apps to try and create my own, albeit, being a hard slog doing so.

For now I'm waiting on a special offer price to upgrade and then I'll install the last known good version before new features were introduced that created yet more bugs, and that version was 18.0.10, which includes basically all maintenance fixes that came over from version 17.x.I am amazed and somewhat disappointed I haven't come across this CLZ Movie Collection App long before now. The yearly annual upgrade fee is $25 now, on top of the $50 purchase price. It's as though they want you hooked on always having to upgrade. This is backwards development, you introduce new features early in a new version then fix the bugs. Because you need to buy an upgrade license, this would mean that you would practically always be having to upgrade just to get the bug fixes.

The issue I have now with it is that they insert new features late into the current version cycle, thus leaving major bugs that roll over into the next version.

This is completely feasible give that you can no longer download this information automatically for over 50% of movies out there since you have to use their database. They are also trying to alienate their users that have purchased under the lifetime license program. This was done so as to give the illusion that the product is being received with unmatched positivity.
